Okay, but the funny part here (aside from Lilian), is that Cap does this ALL THE TIME in the comics. Like, this exchange. Even in the little bit I read, I saw it two or three times:
Villain: You won’t do the thing, you’re Captain America.
Cap: Nope. *indicates less morally upright companion* They will.
Which kind of suggests that Cap is less about moral uprightness and more about plausible deniability. ;)
That’s pretty damn American there
It’s deeper than that.
Steve Rogers has no problem doing these things.
But he has a big problem with Captain America doing these things.
Because Steve is deeply, intimately aware of the fact that Cap is a symbol, rather than an identity.
He’s a symbol of righteousness for people to aspire to and be inspired by.
And that symbol simply cannot kick people off buildings, because if Captain America started doing things like that he’d just be some other thug in long pajamas.
There was a while where Bucky was Captain America and Steve was Director of SHIELD and the very first thing Steve did was set up a secret Black-Ops group with one criminal (Eric O’Grady: Ant-man) and three individuals who regularly kill or mutilate people (Black Widow, Valkyrie, Moon Knight) because, and I quote, "I don’t have to be a symbol any more".
self diagnosing is so hard because everytime you’re like “maybe I am mentally ill” theres also a big part of you going “nah you’re probably just a naturally lazy/nasty/disgusting/useless person trying to find an excuse for your behavior” because of the institutionalized ableism that runs through everything
So go to the doctor and get an actual diagnosis?
Why don’t poor people just buy more money?
"why did she win the nobel peace prize???"
"she didn’t do anything to deserve the nobel peace prize"
fuck anybody who wasn’t overjoyed when she won, this girl is providing a voice for uneducated and oppressed young people across the world whilst still advocating and campaigning for peace and anti-violence. after she was shot in the head.
Okay, I did the damn thing. Hope you aren’t tired of these, yet!
(I think this meme is actually super cool; it really highlights the importance of make-up, angles, and lighting. Some of the before/afters are insane!)
(Happy early Mundaaaay)wait, I don’t actually understand the meme ;-; although it’s still funny :’D
The idea is that your boyfriend is breaking up with you because he found a cuter girl (!?) so you dress as a pretty boy and seduce the girl instead *A* (Gotta save cute girls from assholes)
Bill Nye is my favorite
Dawkins needs to get over himself
Bam. Dawkins is a jerk.
Dawkins looks like he is being physically repelled by Bill Nye’s presence. Like Bill has this aura that pushes back assholes or something.
